Sidewalk of Colors

.Make sidewalks from strips cut from the edges of discarded window shades.

.Tape the strips together to make the desired length.

.Divide the sidewalk into squares and glue on the colored geometric shapes.

.The children can walk along the sidewalk and name the shape and/or color.

.You can also use the sidewalk like the game (Candyland).

.Make a spinner with the corresponding shapes.

.The child spins the spinner and then moves to the shape and color that appears on the spinner.

.Discarded window shades can be used for many activities; numbers, alphabet, animals, words, etc.
