Growing new Plants from Seeds!

You will need: Avocado seed, glass jar, toothpicks, water, pot, and potting soil.

What you do:

.Insert three toothpicks spaced evenly around the sides of the avocado seed; place the seed supported by the toothpicks on the mouth of the jar.

.The pointed end of the seed should face upward.

.Fill the jar with water only to the bottom of the seed.

.Put the seed and jar in a dark place for several weeks.

.Move to a sunny window when it splits at the top and the stem and leaves appear.

.It may be planted in a pot for further growth.
