Lizard in the Milk

This incident occurred few months ago. It was a sultry afternoon and my sister and I were alone at home.

Suddenly, we heard a rattling sound coming from the kitchen. I went and peeped in and saw the vessel in which the milk was kept, was shaking!

When I told my sister what had happened, she got frightened. She went to the kitchen and slowly lifted the lid from the vessel. The next second, there was a big shriek and my sister was trembling.

A lizard had fallen into the milk! My sister immediately called our neighbor. He slowly lifted the covered vessel with the lizard rattling inside, took it to the garden and poured the milk out. The lizard jumped out and ran away.

We were totally surprised! We still don’t know how the lizard fell into the covered vessel. I can never forget this incident.
