Local Trains

One day, my aunt and her 2-year-old child, my grandmother, brother and sister & I were going to my uncle’s place in a local train.

All of us reached the platform (where the train had come), except me and my grandmother. They boarded the train and we were left behind; the train started to move.

In a hurry, I boarded the running train and my grandmother was left behind. So, to be with her, my aunt, with her 2-year-old son in her arms, jumped from the train.

Seeing her, my sister, and then my brother jumped down on to the platform. I shouted, “Don’t leave me” Someone pulled the chain and the train came to a halt. I just stepped down and ran to all of them.

Everyone had minor injuries, but my sister had fainted. She woke up when we sprinkled some water on her face. This incident always reminds me about the safety measures needed on local trains.
