School Bus

That first bus ride to school is an exciting experience for children. As your class makes this bus, discuss with the children the shapes, colors, parts of the bus, the child’s bus number and bus safety rules.

*Have the large bus shape pre-cut out of white construction paper for those children who are unable to use scissors.

*Children who have mastered scissor skills will want to cut out their own bus shape.

*The children should paint the entire bus yellow (or orange).

*When the bus is dry, the doors and windows, cut from construction paper, may be glued on.

*The teacher adds the child’s bus number with a marking pen. It is also fun to add sticker faces in the windows.
