Madurai influencer Veeramani eagerly awaited Diwali sweets, but his festive wish quickly morphed into a nightmare when he became the target of a malicious online prank.
After he shared his home address, hoping for a sweet surprise from his followers, pranksters bombarded him with cash-on-delivery orders that spiraled well beyond his control.
A Chaotic Delivery Rush
Instead of delectable treats, Veeramani found refrigerators, washing machines, smartphones, and even a ₹1.69 lakh television arriving at his doorstep—all items he hadn’t ordered. According to PTI, pranksters used his address to flood him with unwanted deliveries from Amazon and Flipkart, each more bewildering than the last.
Delivery of the Unexpected
Things took a bizarre turn when social media users claimed to have ordered JCB excavators and military tanks to his address, although those extraordinary claims remain unverified. To make matters worse, delivery agents from food services like Swiggy and Zomato appeared with meals he never requested.
A Desperate Plea for Help
The prank quickly ceased to be amusing for Veeramani. As the deliveries continued to flood in, he posted a heartfelt video pleading for the pranksters to stop. “I bow at your feet… Please stop ordering. I am under severe pressure,” he implored. Despite his emotional appeal, the unwanted orders kept coming.
A Vanishing Act
When reporters came to Veeramani’s home in Madurai, they found the doors locked and the influencer had vanished. Neighbors revealed that the overwhelming deliveries forced him to leave his residence.
He ultimately locked his house and left town, stating in subsequent reels that he was traveling to an undisclosed location.
In a later video, he stated, “No one can find my address.” His whereabouts remain unknown, and attempts to reach him via his public phone number have been blocked.
