Sponge Painted Trees

You will Need: Brown construction paper, white 12″ * 18″ paper for background; aluminum pie tins; sponges cut in 1″ squares; clothespins; tempera paint in fall colors.

What You Do

.Cut tree trunks from brown paper for those children who are not able to use scissors.

.Distribute one sponge with a clothespin attached for each child.

.Demonstrate how to dab the sponge on the paper.

.Trade sponges and paint tins until each child has used all the colors.
