Talk About Friendship

.How exciting to begin school! So many faces!

.Children are generally excited about their first day of school, but they are also a little apprehensive with all the new faces.

.Spend some time talking about the new friendships that will be made this year.

.Introduce each of the children to the class.

.More verbal children may wish to introduce themselves.

.Take Polaroid pictures of each of the children first thing in the morning.

.During morning circle pass the pictures around for all the children to see.

.Let each of the children say their name into a tape recorder and then play back the recording for all the children to listen to.
