Cockroach Caper

One day I took a fake cockroach to school and during a free period placed it on my friend’s shoulder. She screamed when she saw it.

Our teacher, who was passing by, heard the scream and came to inquire. My friend said she had been frightened by a cockroach. One of the girls whispered that it was a fake cockroach.

The teacher heard this and said, “Will the culprit please come out.”

I went out, almost in tears, expecting a stiff punishment. But all she said was “Give me the cockroach. I will scare the other teachers in the staff room with it”.
