Jean Versus Jean

This incident occurred once when due to a fracture in my leg i was on a complete bed rest.

My mother’s name is Jean and my father’s name too is Jean -“John” in English – One of the problems with having the same spelling is that often we don’t know to whom the corresponding mail is addressed.

After waiting for over four months for the income-tax refund, my father commented to my mother on the incompetence of the government.

“Yes, I know,” she replied, “they can really mess things up. They’ve sent me two refunds, ” was her answer on which my father had a great laugh.
