Little Sprout

You will need: Lentil beans, paper towel, water, and saucer.

What you do:

.Place a moistened paper towel on a saucer.

.Put several beans on the wet towel.

.Sprinkle with a little more water.

.Put in a sunny window.

.Beans will sprout in 2 to 3 days.

Variation:

.Put the beans in potting soil in a clear plastic cup and water.

.This enables the children to see the root system.
