Taken for a Ride
My family and I had gone on a trip to Khandala. We reached there around at 12:30 p.m. by train.
My father hailed a taxi and gave the driver the address of the hotel where we were to stay. After a fifteen-minute drive, the taxi-driver deposited us at our hotel and charged us 100 rupees as the fare.
The next day on getting up, when I went to the balcony of my hotel room, I was stunned. The railway station where we had alighted the night before was just opposite the hotel. The taxi-driver had really taken us for a ride.
